Lifeproof Adapter for GoPro Mounts

Lifeproof has been on a streak of creating all sorts of accessories for its case so you can use it in a variety of daily activities.  The latest mount that I have received for review is the Lifeproof Adapter for GoPro Mounts.

This mount works perfectly with all GoPro mounts and attaches in the exact same way with the GoPro hardware.

Installation is a breeze as you slide your Lifeproof case into the lower portion of the mount and click the top portion in.  The top clip has a locking mechanism which will ensure it will not pop out during extreme usage.

The mount has a perfectly sized cutout for the camera so you can use your phone in the mount either front or rear facing.

I primarily use my GoPro while I am riding motocross on my ATV and I am not so sure i'd want to risk my iPhone during that activity.  It would work, no doubt about it but leaving my iPhone hanging off of my helmet?  With that being said, of course the GoPro mounts can be used in a variety of ways including the windshield mount that my GoPro came with which would be a neat way to hang your iPhone off of your windshield to record whatever activity you're up to!  This GoPro mount is available for $29.99 and is available right now!

Lifeproof Dock Connector

For those users who love using a Lifeproof case but simply cannot utilize all of their docks and accessories with it, this Dock Connector is for you!

The Dock Connector is a simple adapter piece that you can plug into your 30 pin connector which will extend the connection point beyond the end of the case as seen above.  This simple but effective adapter sells for $29.99 and is now shipping from the Lifeproof website!  Get yours now!

Lifeproof Lifejacket

Today i'm going to take a brief look at the new Lifeproof Lifejacket.  The Lifejacket, as you would guess, is a foam case that installs on top of your Lifeproof case to ensure it remains buoyant in water.
The Lifejacket is something very handy for users that like to use their device in the water at the beach.  The bright orange hue will make sure your precious device will remain obvious to find when floating in the water.

While your device is being used in the Lifejacket, all controls and ports have full access along with the camera.

The case comes equipped with a quick release lanyard that attaches to the corners.
There is a short lanyard and also a long full size lanyard to ensure the device is securely attached to you when you're in the water engaging in activities.
The Lifejacket is available for $39.99 on the Lifeproof website.

New Lifeproof colors available now

I have reviewed the lifeproof case in the past and I just wanted to let my readers know that they have recently released a lot of new colors.  They were kind enough to send me the blue version to review but the other new colors include green, teal, orange and red.

The blue version is identical to their version 2 lifeproof case and I think this color looks really neat!  Check it out below.

X Gear Carbon Fiber Shield II for iPad

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Carbon Fiber Shield II for the iPad 2 & the New iPad by X Gear.  If you don't know about the Carbon Fiber Shield, it is made of 100% REAL carbon fiber and is hand crafted!  Check out my full review below to read all about it!

I've found it rare to find REAL carbon fiber products in today's market and X Gear excels with this case.  The Carbon Fiber Shield II was revised to fit better, with more coverage and better protection.  It is fully compatible with the smart cover which i'm using on my iPad 2.  In the past, i've used the Incipio smart feather and this case is very similar.  It snaps on the back to provide a nice "shell" to protect the back and sides of the iPad.

The cutouts are absolutely perfect and is very impressive with a real carbon fiber case that's made by hand.  Along the top there are 3 separate cutouts for the headphone jack, microphone and sleep/awake button.  On the left side, there is one large opening along the edge to make it compatible with the smart cover.  The bottom has one oversized cutout for the 30 pin connector and a mesh type pattern over the speaker.  The right side features one oversized opening for the volume rocker and silent switch.

One small issue I have is the fact that with this case installed and the smart cover installed, it is challenging to open the smart cover.  The smart cover edge is almost flush with the case; i've found the easiest way to open the cover is to pop it open at the 30 pin connector.  Other than this, I absolutely love this case by X Gear.

The Carbon Fiber Shield II is available for $79.99 and at the time of this article, is on sale for only $59.99

Bowers & Wilkins P3 Headphones

Today i'm going to be reviewing the newest product from Bowers & Wilkins which are the P3 headphones.  The P3's are on ear style headphones similar to their P5's.  Check out my full review below to get all the details!

Bowers & Wilkins is an absolute powerhouse in the audio market and I am a huge fan of their equipment.  I had a chance to review their C5 in ear headphones and i'm very excited to tell you guys about their on ear P3's.

They have not cut any corners when it comes to the build quality of these headphones.  The quality of workmanship and quality of materials is outstanding.  The product is a perfect mesh of metal and plastic and of course the padding is perfectly plush for maximum comfort.  They may appear to be fragile but this is not the case whatsoever.  The design was able to reduce the size and weight of the overall headphones without sacrifice. Another thing that I found to be very handy is that the ear pads are attached magnetically so that you can remove them and swap the headphone cable quite easily with the cable provided.  The hinge on the ear cups and the metal band is built magnificently and looks amazing.  The adjustment of the headband slides along those metal bands and slides as smooth as butter.

I know you've all been waiting to hear all about the SQ, so here goes.  Do they stack up to their $200 price tag?  My quick answer is, Yes they do.  The P3's have a very natural sound and that is surely in line with their advertisement of this product.  I have found the highs to be slightly on the bright side but is just about perfectly balanced with the overall sound signature.  The mids are sufficient, no complaints there.  The lows are natural sounding just as designed.  The lows are not overpowering like a lot of headphones (Beats for example) and that is what I prefer.  The overall signature of the headphones is (dare I say?) ... perfect. I am extremely impressed with the product that B&W has produced.

The headphones leak a lot of sound out and don't do a great job of blocking out ambient noise but that is by design since they are supra aural.  It is not a knock on the product but I just wanted to mention it as the headphones are not for everybody.  If you're using these in an office environment, you would have to be very careful about your listening level.

The P3 by Bowers & Wilkins is a worthy recommendation and is available in white and black for $199.99.

Incipio Selvage Denim Sleeve for MacBooks

Today i'm going to show you guys one of Incipio's newest products for the line of Apple MacBooks. It is a sleeve style slip case and is called the Selvage.

For those of you who don't like to carry a bag on your shoulders for your MacBook and would rather toss it in a sleeve to carry under your arm, this sleeve is perfect for you! This particular Selvage sleeve is only available in one color, unfortunately and that color is a black denim. With that being said, this sleeve is crafted perfectly and there are absolutely no flaws. The stiching, zipper etc are all done with attention to detail and the build quality shows it. This sleeve is tough and will certainly keep your laptop protected for a long time (forever?)

The exterior is black denim as mentioned previously with a deep red edging along the top zipper. Speaking of the zipper, it is made of luxe rose gold type material and is placed perfectly on the sleeve as to prevent scratching of your precious MacBook while it is enclosed. The zipper sits above a trim piece that's inside to ensure that the zipper will never rub on your MacBook. Inside, you will find a luxurious soft black lining that is sufficiently padded to caress your device with the utmost care. Back to the exterior, there is an exterior pocket that you can use to store your charger, pens, iPhone charger etc. This pocket's interior lining is sort of rubberized as to keep your things from sliding out easily. Lastly, on the front you will find a small but subtle Incipio logo to remind you of the quality product you have entrusted your MacBook in.

The Incipio Selvage Denim Sleeve is available for $49.99 at the Incipio website – make sure you go grab one so you can keep your favorite MacBook protected at all times!

Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Duo

Today i'll be reviewing the new Juice Pack Powerstation Duo by Mophie.  I've had a chance to review quite a few of their products and i'm always impressed by their work.  How does the Duo stack up against their other products?  Read below!

The Powerstation Duo is different than the Powerstation because it can handle charging two USB devices simultaneously and can also handle the most power hungry gadgets drawing 2.1A of power.  The Duo also gets a capacity boost over its little brother the Powerstation.  The charging capacity is now a monstrous 6,000mAh.

The Powerstation Duo is built with Mophie's amazing quality as expected.  Around the edge of the battery, you'll find a brushed metal band.  The top and bottom are black soft touch material and look very visually appealing.  There are 4 LED indicator lights on the top that will display the amount of charge remaining.  On one end of the battery, you will find both USB ports and a micro USB charging port.  One side of the battery contains a button that turns the battery on and also doubles as a status button to illuminate the LED's.  Other than that, nothing else exists which keeps the products plain and simple looking.

In summary, the Powerstation Duo by Mophie is an amazing product and I highly recommend it!  It sells for only $99.95 and is available directly through the mophie website.

Kensington KeyFolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad

Today i'm going to be taking a closer look at a neat keyboard case by Kensington called the KeyFolio. This happens to be one of a few different keyboard cases for the iPad that they're selling. Read on to see what this case is all about!

The KeyFolio is a combination case with a built in bluetooth keyboard. As you would assume, yes, the keyboard links to your iPad through bluetooth which was a breeze. All you have to do is turn on the keyboard, enable bluetooth on your iPad which will create the link and then enter the code to secure the connection. The keyboard functions just like you'd expect but i'd have to say the keys are a little too small for my fingers (and i'm not one with fat fingers).

The case itself is built out of durable synthetic leather which has a great look and feel. All of the ports and controls are fully exposed including a cutout on the back for the camera. Another complaint I have is that the case is very bulky and heavy as you would imagine but this is a tradeoff for the convenience of having a keyboard on hand. The keyboard is rubberized in order to be spill proof and also to ensure the iPad screen doesn't get scratched when the folio is closed.

Overall, the functionality and visual appeal of the case is appealing and I can recommend the case as it is definitely worth the cost - $99.99. For somebody who is always on the go and needs to quickly compose emails and documents, this is your ticket. You can purchase it on Kensington's website.

Power Support iPhone 4/4S Screen Shield

Today i'll be reviewing the crystal screen shield by Power Support.  There are many, many options out there for screen shields and i'd like to tell you a little bit about the one i've been using for the past week.

For starters, I can tell you with confidence that the products by Power Support are superior to the cheap clear screen shields that sell on eBay and Amazon.  Are they really worth the money?  Well, this is to be debated and is surely based on user opinion.

I have used a variety of screen shields on my iPhone included cheap eBay screen shields, zagg invisible shield, Phantomskinz clear & matte etc.  The first thing I noticed when installing the Power Support crystal is that my fingers don't glide as smoothly along the screen during normal use.  This immediately bothers me as I am very particular about my iPhone.  My other huge complaint is that the screen shield fingerprints easily and is a task to clean.  When using my clean microfiber cloth, it seems to smear the fingerprints around and requires quite a bit of effort to polish the screen shield clean.

The screen shield has held up against scratching pretty well so I was impressed by that but the fingerprinting and difficulty of cleaning is kind of a deal breaker for me.  Most users who need their device fully protected from scratches would benefit from these over the eBay screen shields but if you are picky about your phone screen, you may find this product a nuisance.

Power Support offers a crystal, anti-glare, HD anti-glare and a privacy film and offer them in various packages.  For the most part, you can get a couple screen shields for $14.95 via their website.
